Everything your app gets for free
Six functional blocks of the platform. Each is something that usually takes months to write in every new project.
Window system and docks
Draggable panels, floating windows, tabs, splitters, multiple monitors. Users assemble their own workspace; the layout is saved to a profile and moves between machines.
Drag & dock panels
Floating and docked windows
Named layouts
Multi-monitor mode
Modules and plugins
Each functional area is an isolated module with its own lifecycle. Modules register with the core and find each other through a service registry, not through direct dependencies.
Hot module loading
Service registry (DI)
Versioned contracts
Fault isolation
Commands, hotkeys, background tasks
A single command mechanism: menus, toolbars, context menus, the command palette and hotkeys are defined once. Long-running operations go to the background with progress and cancellation.
Declarative commands
Command palette
Undo/Redo out of the box
Cancelable background tasks
Themes and branding
Light, dark and high-contrast themes, icon sets, typography, interface density and DPI scaling. The application can be fully restyled to match the customer's brand.
Light / Dark / High-contrast
Design tokens
Custom icon packs
DPI scaling
Access rights and audit
Roles, permissions and visibility of interface elements at the platform level. A panel you have no rights to simply does not appear; every action is logged.
Interface-level RBAC
Command policies
Action log
LDAP / Active Directory
Synchronization with external services
GitHub and GitLab repositories, Yandex and Google cloud drives, S3 and network folders connect as application data sources — with offline cache and conflict resolution.
Git hosting services and your own Git server
Cloud and network storage
Two-way sync
Service allowlist
Data and offline
An abstraction over data sources, a cache, local storage, a deferred-operation queue and background sync. The application keeps working without a network.
Repositories and cache
Local storage
Offline operation queue
REST / gRPC / SQL
Who works in DockStudio
The set of modules defines what the app becomes. Below are the areas we are developing.
Developers
A development environment built your way
DockStudio already provides what every IDE is made of: a project tree, tabs, dock panels, search, a command palette and a plugin system. We are evolving this line into a full-fledged development environment.
Analysts and BI
A workspace for working with data
A dense interface with a dozen panels is exactly what data analysis calls for: sources on the left, the table in the center, parameters on the right, the query log at the bottom. The layout is saved for each task.
Traders
A terminal for your strategy
Multi-monitor work, dozens of windows, streaming data and an instantly responsive interface — the very scenario the window system was designed for.
Embedded and robotics
One window instead of ten terminals
Developing for ROS and embedded systems means constantly switching between consoles, logs, telemetry charts and video streams. DockStudio brings it all together in a single layout.
Enterprise systems
A foundation for large-scale environments
ProMatrix — an ecosystem of ten modules — is built on DockStudio. It is not a capability demo but a product we sell and support.
Engineering tools
An environment for design and calculations
Schematic editors, model viewers, equipment configurators: an object tree, tool palette, property table and viewport — the standard set of panels is already in place.
Want to see it in action?
We’ll run a live demo of the platform and work out how it fits your task.
